Position Summary
The Assistant Supervisor of Rail Operations assists in directing daily rail operations at the Port of
Beaumont, ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant movement of rail traffic. This position
provides leadership to train crews, coordinates with customers and connecting railroads, supports
operational planning, and serves as acting Supervisor of Operations when required. The position
promotes a culture of safety by enforcing TGS Rules, company policies, and applicable FRA
regulations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Assist in planning and directing daily switching operations.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound interchange traffic.
• Supervise train crews and assign daily work.
• Monitor railcar inventory and yard utilization.
• Conduct safety observations and investigations.
• Complete operational reports and documentation.
• Coordinate with customers and connecting railroads.
• Respond to emergencies and operational disruptions.

Minimum Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Five years of railroad operating experience preferred.
• Knowledge of TGS Rules, FRA regulations, and railroad operations.
• Valid driver's license.
