Summary
The parts runner will be responsible for completing deliveries and pickups for our TGS fleet department. They must be reliable and can multitask and acclimatized in a fast-paced environment. The parts runner must perform all tasks to the best safety quality and do all jobs safely with the correct PPE. They are to maintain the parts storage organized and stocked with commonly used parts. Keep their company vehicle and work area clean. Communicate in a professional manner with all TGS employees, visitors, and vendors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor.
- Keep track and log parts that are either picked up, sent out for repairs, or any core returns.
- Maintain an update on all back-order parts.
- Obtain directive from supervisor, mechanics, or helper.
- Maintain a working / clean vehicle and trailer.
- Attend/participate in safety huddles, topics, and classes as given.
- Learns and applies the safety standards of TGS.
- Maintain the work area, office and shop clean.
- Communicate with mechanic / supervisor and vendors accurately and timely.
- Learn to look up needed parts, and procedures for needed repair.
- Keep and submit time, daily / weekly.
- Wash/prepare equipment and vehicles for repair or usage.
- Will perform any other task requested of this position deemed necessary to accomplish the company’s objectives.
Requirements:
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must be comfortable driving and working in varying weather conditions.
- Able to pass a background check and drug test.
- Able to haul low boy trailers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift load and deliver.
- Must be able to pass all safety requirements.
- Must be dependable.
