Description

Position Summary The Park Security Representative (PSR) provides dedicated security monitoring and protection for TGS Cedar Port Industrial Park, the largest master-planned rail-and-barge-served industrial park in the United States. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment through proactive camera surveillance, physical security rounds, rapid response to incidents, and professional interaction with employees, tenants, and visitors during night-shift hours.

Position Scope The PSR performs comprehensive security monitoring of Cedar Port Industrial Park assets using advanced camera systems, conducts nightly physical security checks along designated routes, responds to third-party camera monitoring inquiries, and promptly notifies internal and external stakeholders of any security breaches or concerns. The position plays a critical role in protecting TGS infrastructure, rail assets, and developing industrial properties during overnight hours.

Key Responsibilities

· Monitor the TGS camera surveillance system in real-time, identifying and documenting any suspicious activity or security concerns.

· Complete scheduled security routes and perform thorough physical security checks of CPIP infrastructure, utilizing designated checkpoints and company vehicles.

· Respond promptly to third-party camera monitoring inquiries and coordinate appropriate follow-up actions.

· Notify and escalate potential security compromises or incidents to the appropriate internal personnel, law enforcement, or external authorities as required.

· Interact professionally with TGS employees, tenants, contractors, and visitors while maintaining a visible security presence during night operations.

· Generate accurate and timely daily security reports detailing activities, observations, and any incidents.

· Maintain familiarity with Cedar Port Industrial Park layout, rail operations, and company policies to ensure effective security support.

· Adhere to all safety-sensitive protocols, company procedures, and applicable security regulations.

· Assist with other security-related duties as assigned to support overall park operations.

· Ability to effectively navigate and utilize the TGS camera monitoring system with strong attention to detail.

· Thorough knowledge of Cedar Port Industrial Park territory and railroad operations.

· Sound decision-making skills and the ability to follow safety-sensitive instructions under pressure.

· Professional decorum and strong interpersonal/communication skills for interacting with diverse individuals.

· Proficiency with computer applications for report generation and documentation.

· Reliability, integrity, and a strong commitment to safety and security best practices.

Qualifications & Requirements

· Valid Texas Driver’s License (clean driving record preferred).

· Ability to successfully pass a comprehensive background screening and meet all private security licensing requirements in the State of Texas.

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· Previous experience in security, military, law enforcement, or related fields preferred.

· Ability to work independently during night-shift hours and maintain composure in emergency situations.

· Basic computer skills and familiarity with surveillance technology.

Physical Requirements Ability to walk extended distances, climb stairs, and perform outdoor security rounds in varying weather conditions. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally and maintain visual acuity for camera monitoring.
